Sample dinner dance fundraising letter
The Young Autism Program at DDI is now planning our Eighth annual Dinner
Dance Fundraiser to be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club, Saturday April 2,2005. We anticipate the affair will be attended
by approximately 1000 people, consisting of the family and friends of the children in the program, as well as political members
of the community who support what the program is doing for children with autism.
With the State
and Federal Government continuing to cut funding, it has become necessary for the parents of The Young Autism Program to form
a non-profit foundation to supplement the unique educational needs of our children. To ensure the continued success of this
program, it is necessary that we privately raise $250,000 annually.
The success
of the dance is reliant upon the support and participation of hundreds of individuals and local businesses. We would be honored
to have your company be a dinner dance sponsor. We have several different sponsorship opportunities available. We will also
be publishing a journal, which is produced especially for the dinner dance, which will be distributed to all participants
and supporters.
For your convenience,
I have enclosed the different sponsorship opportunities available, as well as pricing for journal advertising.
Additionally,
we are in need of auction prizes, door prizes, etc. Any contribution you can
make would be greatly appreciated. No Donation is too small.
Please take
the time to review the enclosed leaflet explaining Autism, the tireless efforts performed by teachers and aids at YAP, and
the progress achieved by our young children affected with this disability.
We are a non-profit
tax-exempt organization. Our tax identification number is available upon request.
Thank you for
considering this request for support.
Sincerely,
The Parents
and Children of the Young Autism Program
